I contacted Baltimore Equitable Insurance about a perpetual homeowners insurance policy. The agent was on my premises within 5 days, took detailed measurements and pictures and gave me a reasonable quote, so I went with it. The interval between application submission and underwriter approval was 24 hours. So far, so good.

For those who haven’t experienced perpetual homeowners insurance, I strongly suggest looking into it. Instead of paying an annual or monthly premium to your insurance company, you give an amount to the insurance company up front, and will experience annual increases, but the nice thing is, when you part ways with a perpetual insurance company, you get ALL of your deposits back! Should you have any claims, the insurance company pays the bills! I highly recommend this type of insurance, and would suggest using Baltimore Equitable, as we have for more than 10 years.

After many years of contemplating switching to Baltimore equitable insurance, we decided to investigate it. Listening to the commercials about getting all of your money back at any time you wish to terminate the policy seemed to good to be true. We made the call. Working with Greg Marsh, he explained very thoroughly how the payment for the insurance works and he answered all of the questions we had in order for us to make a final decision. It made total sense. We made the deposit and in return got the coverage we need. We would highly recommend checking out Baltimore Equitable Insurance. Greg is easy to get in touch with, fully knows the business and will “wow you” with his customer service.

My experience with Baltimore Equitable Insurance Company has been outstanding. I was a long time client with home and umbrella liability policies. We had 2 claims on our house during prior years-each was handled promptly with outstanding customer support. A few years ago we become out of state residents to spend more time with family who lived on the west coast. We could not insure with BE due to this move, and of course our entire premium deposits were promptly refunded. I was even more impressed with BE's exceptional customer service when I compared them to the other insurance companies we contacted to obtain new insurance. We recently became Maryland residents again and promptly switched our insurance policies back to BE. Robert Kraft met with us at our home, did a complete appraisal of our property and liability needs, and reviewed policy options. The insurance was promptly put in force. I’ve had Baltimore Equitable Insurance for years and it’s great! I discovered perpetual insurance, and how you get all your money back, rather than just tossing your money at a company, never to be seen again. Great concept! If you have the amount for the deposit, or if you prefer to not keep paying out money you will never see again, I highly encourage you to check them out. Great people, very responsive, not a huge faceless company

Some of nicest insurance people I’ve worked with. I’ve personally worked with Mr. Rob Kraft for insuring two houses now. It’s a fairly unknown product by many people/companies but they are a legitimate business and adhere to all insurance standards. Also AMBest rated meeting Fannie/Freddie guidelines for mortgages. Just have to make sure it makes sense for your financial situation as the refundable deposit is higher than your typical nonrefundable insurance premium.

I had heard ads for Baltimore Equitable on the radio a few years ago. I was intrigued by the thought of a perpetual policy with locked in rates, and a refundable deposit. I didn't take out a policy at the time, but the idea stuck in the back of my mind. Fast forward five years, I get my annual insurance renewal and see the premium increased by 50% even though I have never made a claim. I started shopping around and remembered Baltimore Equitable Insurance. I gave them a call and got connected with Caesar Rossilli. He thoroughly explained how the company worked, the details about the policy, and provided an initial quote over the phone. We scheduled an inspection and met at my house a few days later to take pictures and measurements. After completing the inspection and finalizing the amount of coverage we filled out the application and submitted it for underwriting. A few days later we got a package in the mail which included a customized ring binder with all of the policy documents, contact information and claims process, a hand written note from the company president, a flash drive with digital copies of the policy and inspection, and their Fire Mark. (A metal plaque with the company's logo that is affixed to the exterior of the building. All insurance companies back in the 1700s and 1800s issued them as a way of denoting which properties were insured for the purpose of dispatching fire fighters. Many buildings throughout Baltimore still have them, and now so does mine!) The whole process was very easy, and also surprisingly enjoyable. Everyone I talked to at Baltimore Equitable was very friendly and personable. They are the nicest insurance company/people I have ever dealt with. I now have the coverage I need, and no longer have to dread annual premium increases. I've recommended them to several of my friends and family. Definitely give them a call to see what they can do for you if you live in MD or PA.

I worked with Rob Kraft to transfer from a traditional Home Owner's Insurance to a Perpetual Policy through Baltimore Equitable. Rob was incredibly patient with all of my questions, answered in language that a layperson could understand and responsive via phone or email. He never applied pressure. I am grateful for his help.
